    • Front yoke – 2 pieces
    • Upper center front - 1 piece
    • Upper side front - 2 pieces
    • Right front peplum – 1 piece
    • Left front peplum – 1 piece
  • From lining fabric:
    • Upper center back - 2 pieces
    • Upper side back - 2 pieces
    • Upper center front - 1 piece
    • Upper side front - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the neckline edges of the back and front, and the bias edges of the front peplums with fusible interlining.
  2. Stitch the princess seams of the upper back, press allowances towards the center.
  3. Stitch the princess seams of the upper front, press allowances towards the center. Attach the yoke to the front. Clip allowances and press towards the yoke.
  4. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the upper, clip allowances and press open.
  5. Stitch seams on lining fabric pieces. Place the main garment and lining right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn the piece right side out, straighten, press. Finish the armhole with lining in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole. Clip allowances, turn right side out and press. Secure the lining to the main garment at the bottom edges and center back edges.
  6. Stitch the side seams of the peplums. Overlock allowances and press towards the back. Overlock the center edges of the front peplums and bottom edges, fold inwards, and topstitch. Overlap the left peplum over the right, secure the upper edges.
  7. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the garment, press allowances upwards and overlock.
  8. Overlock the center back edges separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the mark to the bottom edge, press allowances open. Insert the zipper.
