Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

  1. Stitch darts on the front. Press the dart allowances upwards.
  2. Stitch shoulder seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
  3. Finish the left neckline: Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and with a length equal to the back neckline length + front yoke neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right side facing, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece.
  4. Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer edge. Turn the collar right side out and press.
  5. Place the collar right side onto the wrong side of the garment and stitch, simultaneously attaching the front yoke on the left side. Clip allowances, overlock, turn the collar down and press. Attach the collar to the center back seam, armhole, and side seam.
  6. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock allowances, press to the left side.
  7. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  8. Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  9. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
