Presenting a chic knit top pattern featuring a flattering V-neck, elegant shoulder pleats, and a distinctive decorative trim accenting the center front.
This versatile knit top is perfect for a range of occasions, offering comfort with a touch of refined style:
Silhouette: a fitted silhouette that gently skims the body, providing a comfortable yet refined fit.
Neckline: a flattering V-neckline that offers a graceful frame to the décolletage.
Front Detail: Symmetrical pleats originate from each shoulder seam, framing the V-neck and transitioning into a central panel adorned with a decorative trim running vertically down the center front.
Sleeves: Short, set-in sleeves provide a classic and comfortable finish.
Back: a clean, unadorned back with a simple, higher rounded neckline for ease and comfort.
Hem: a straight hemline that finishes at the hip, allowing for versatile styling tucked in or worn out.
Intermediate. This pattern requires comfortable handling of knit fabrics, precision in creating pleats, and accurate application of decorative trim.
Choose knit fabrics with a medium degree of stretch for the best drape and comfort:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve bottom – 2 cm, other allowances - 1.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
