Introducing a chic women's dress pattern featuring a fitted bodice with a distinctive pleated neckline, elegant cap sleeves, and a flattering a-line skirt.
This versatile dress is perfect for a range of occasions, offering effortless style for:
Silhouette: a flattering a-line silhouette, fitted through the bodice and gently flaring from the waist to a knee-length hem.
Neckline: a wide boat neckline adorned with structured, decorative pleats on the front bodice and cap sleeves.
Sleeves: Short, integrated cap sleeves that provide a subtle shoulder covering.
Waist: a clearly defined, seamed waistline that creates an hourglass effect.
Front: The bodice and skirt feature princess seams for a tailored fit, with distinctive pleats on the upper bodice and shoulders.
Back: The back includes a center seam and princess seams on both the bodice and skirt for shaping.
Closure: a discreet invisible zipper closure is located at the center back seam.
Hem: The skirt flows gracefully to a knee-length hem, allowing for ease of movement.
Intermediate. Requires skills in constructing pleats, inserting an invisible zipper, sewing princess seams, and lining a garment.
Choose woven dress fabrics with good drape and body, suitable for structured details and a fluid skirt:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 2.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
Attention! Lining pieces are cut according to the main fabric patterns, except for the upper side front.
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
