Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch shoulder seams on outer and inner parts. Press seam allowances open. Fold center front/back pieces right sides together and face the neckline and cut-out. Clip seam allowance, trim at corner, turn inner to wrong side and press.
  2. Face armholes, first on the left, then on the right side. Straighten seams and press.
  3. Stitch side seams on side parts. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back. Finish the upper of the armhole: Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge on the right side and face. Clip seam allowances. Turn the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  4. Overlock relief edges of side parts. Place the center front onto the side, align the edge with the topstitch line and secure. Similarly, secure the back and side. Lay decorative-securing stitches according to the marked lines.
  5. Overlock pocket edges. Fold under the top edge of the pocket and topstitch. Place the pocket onto the lower front and topstitch along the side and bottom edges.
  6. Stitch side seams of lower parts. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back. Stitch upper and lower parts of the sundress. Overlock seam allowance and press downwards.
  7. Overlock the bottom edge of the product. Press seam allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
