WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Stitch the princess seams of the upper and lower back parts. Press the allowances on the upper part towards the center. Overcast the allowances on the lower part and press them towards the center.
  2. Fold, press, and secure the pleats on the upper side front part, with the depths directed upwards. Stitch the princess seams of the upper and lower front parts. Press the allowances on the upper part towards the center. Overcast the allowances on the lower part and press them towards the center.
  3. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the upper dress parts. Press the allowances open. Stitch the side seams of the lower dress parts. Overcast the allowances and press them towards the back.
  4. Stitch the lining seams. Press the allowances of the princess seams towards the center, and the side seams towards the back.
  5. Place the main fabric and lining right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip the allowances, turn the lining to the wrong side, and press. Stitch the armhole in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole. Clip the allowances, press the seam. Secure the main fabric to the lining along the lower and center back seams. Then treat as one piece.
  6. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the dress. Overcast the allowance and press it downwards. Overcast the center back seams separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the hem. Press the allowance open. Insert the invisible zipper.
  7. Overcast the hem allowance, press it to the wrong side, and topstitch.
