Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Attention! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  1. Fuse the waistband with fusible interfacing.
  2. Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
  3. Stitch and serge the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back.
  4. Attach the insert to the skirt. Serge the allowance and press it towards the insert.
  5. Attach the outer side of the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Finish the ends of the waistband, trim seam allowances at the corners and turn out. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch into the attaching seam. Press the waistband when finished.
  6. Mark and make the buttonhole. Sew on the button.
  7. Serge the bottom edge of the skirt, simultaneously with the bottom edges of the insert, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
