Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the Neckline Facing.
  2. Stitch the Back Yoke to the Back. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards.
  3. Overlock the center front edges separately. Stitch the center front seam and press the seam allowance open.
  4. Along the upper edge of the Front, run a gathering stitch (loosened upper thread) and gather. Stitch the Front Yoke to the Front. Press seam allowances upwards and overlock.
  5. Stitch side and shoulder seams. Overlock seam allowances and press them towards the back.
  6. Stitch the center back seam of the collar (the collar is cut in one with the Front Yokes). Press the seam allowance open. Set the collar into the back neckline, clipping into the corner on the front. Press the seam allowance towards the collar.
  7. Stitch the center back seam of the Neckline Facing and press it open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing on the blouse right sides together and stitch around the neckline and collar edge, clipping the seam allowance at the point of the V. Turn the facing to the inside and press.
  8. Stitch the sleeve seam, overlock the seam allowance and press it towards the back. Stitch sleeves into armholes, press and overlock seam allowances.
  9. Overlock the bottom of the garment and sleeves, fold inwards and topstitch.
  10. Sew the decorative buttons onto the center front seam according to the markings.
