Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2.0 cm. Other allowances – 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Center back part - 2 pieces
  • Side back part - 2 pieces
  • Center front part - 1 piece on fold
  • Side front part - 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing - 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing - 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and serge.
3. Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
4. Serge the front princess seams separately. Stitch the front princess seams from the armhole to the slit mark. Press allowances open. Topstitch along the slit 0.2 cm from the edge.
5. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place facings and garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip the allowance at the corner. Clip allowances at curves, turn pieces right side out. Secure the facing to the garment at the shoulder seams and zipper tape.
7. Cut (or use ready-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the armhole edge, right side of binding to right side of garment, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip allowances, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
8. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
9. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
