Cutter's Must
Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front - 1 piece on fold
- Cuff - 2 pieces
- Neckline facing - 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Neckline facing – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce facing pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch shoulder seams of back and front neckline facings in pairs, press allowances open. Fold facings right sides together and stitch the outer and front edges. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn piece right side out, straighten, press.
- Attach facing to the neckline, press allowances towards the main garment, serge and topstitch 0.5 cm from the attachment seam.
- Stitch cuff piece into a ring, press allowances open. Fold cuff in half lengthwise, right side out, and attach to the armhole, placing pieces right sides together. Serge allowances, press.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
