CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back yoke – 1 piece with fold
- Back – 1 piece with fold
- Front yoke – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece with fold
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interlining:
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
- Along the upper edge of the back between the marks, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
- Stitch the center seam of the front yokes. Press seam allowances open and overcast.
- Along the upper edge of the front between the marks, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the front yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the back and front neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place the facings with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge of the back and front. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn facings to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Secure to the garment at the shoulder seams.
- Fold the cuff pieces right sides together and stitch into a loop. Press seam allowances open. Turn the piece right side out, fold in half lengthwise and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the seam allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer cuff attachment. Turn the cuff to the right side.
- Overcast the hem allowance of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
