Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interlining.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment – 2.0 cm, sleeve hem – 1.5 cm. Other allowances – 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to consider paired and symmetrical pieces).

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Stitch the center back seam. Overcast the allowance and press to the left side.
  3. Stitch the center seams of the upper front pieces (small section). Press allowances open.
  4. Along the upper edge of the lower center front piece, stitch with a loosened top thread and gather. Attach the lower front piece to the upper outer front piece, press allowances upwards.
  5. Overcast and press the lower edge of the inner piece. Place the inner piece right side down onto the upper outer front piece and stitch the cutout and neckline. Clip the allowance at corners, slash at curves. Turn the inner piece to the wrong side, press the edges. Topstitch the lower edge into the seam joining the upper and lower pieces. Then treat as one piece.
  6. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast.
  7. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  8. Overcast the outer edge of the back facing. Place the facing onto the back right side down and stitch the neckline. Start and end the seam strictly at the shoulder seam. Slash allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
  9. Stitch the shoulder seams, inserting the front piece between the back piece and the back facing. Overcast allowances and press towards the back.
  10. Overcast the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
