FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: denim fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; 10 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. Top edge of pocket allowance – 2 cm. Other seams – 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can range from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

    • Back - 2 pieces

    • Front yoke - 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Pocket – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Collar – 1 piece
    • Collar stand – 1 piece
    • Cuff – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces. Also fuse the one-piece front plackets and the top edge allowances of the pockets.
  2. Stitch darts on the back and front pieces. Press waist dart depths towards the center, bust darts upwards. Topstitch darts 0.1 cm from the seam.
  3. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overlock. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam. Attach the yoke to the back, press allowances upwards and overlock. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam.
  4. Attach the front yoke to the front, press allowances towards the yoke and overlock. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the seam.
  5. Overlock the top allowance of the pocket, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Press the side and bottom allowances of the pocket to the wrong side. Place pockets on the front according to markings and topstitch.
  6. Press the one-piece front placket to the wrong side. Fold the allowance of the inner edge of the placket inwards and topstitch to the front along the fold. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the edge of the placket.
  7. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  8. Place the upper collar and lower collar right sides together. Stitch the ends and outer edge of the collar. Trim seams. Turn the collar right side out, shape and press. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the edge. Place collar stand pieces right sides together, insert the finished collar between them, align notches and stitch, simultaneously stitching the ends of the collar stand. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked line of the collar stand attachment seam. Turn the finished collar right side out and press. Attach the upper collar stand with collar to the neckline, fold the open edge of the lower collar stand inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam of the upper collar stand.
  9. Overlock the hem of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  10. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  11. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press allowances open. Fold the cuff lengthwise in half, right sides together, and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve. Fold the allowance of the inner side inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  12. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  13. Overlock buttonholes on the right placket, sew buttons on the left. Overlock buttonhole and sew button on the collar stand.
