FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  1. Reinforce the plackets with fusible interfacing.
  2. Attach the back yoke to the back. Overcast the allowance and press it upwards.
  3. Form and stitch the pleats on the front yoke. Press the depths downwards. Trim the front yoke according to the pattern.
  4. Along the upper edge of the front, make a stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Form and secure the central box pleat on the front. Attach the front yoke to the front. Press the allowances upwards and overcast.
  5. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Overcast the allowances and press them towards the back.
  6. Clip the front allowances at the corners, stopping 0.1 – 0.2 cm from the end. Stitch the center edge of the plackets. Press the allowances open. Fold the plackets right sides together and stitch the edges and neckline. End the stitch strictly at the marked placket attachment line. Clip the allowances at the curves, turn to the right side and press.
  7. Attach the outer plackets to the front and back. End the stitch strictly at the marked attachment line. Clip the neckline allowances, press them towards the placket. Fold the inner placket allowance inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam. Place the right placket over the left and stitch the horizontal edge of the plackets and front, folding back the corner so it doesn't get caught in the seam. Direct the allowance upwards. Form a corner on the right long placket and topstitch from the right side. Secure the plackets together along the vertical edge.
  8. Overcast the bottom edge of the sleeve, press it to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch the sleeve seam, overcast the allowances and press them towards the back. Set in the sleeves into the armholes, press and overcast the allowances.
  9. Overcast the bottom of the garment, fold it inwards and topstitch.
