Key Design Features
Silhouette: Relaxed fit with a graceful drape, cinched at the waist for definition.
Neckline: Classic round neckline, finished with bias binding for a clean edge.
Sleeves: Short, slightly dropped shoulders with neat cuffed sleeves.
Waist: Defined by a self-fabric tie belt threaded through delicate belt loops, allowing for adjustable cinching.
Hem: Distinctly asymmetric hemline, creating a dynamic and modern profile that is longer on one side.
Level Of Difficulty
Intermediate. Involves precise bias binding application, construction of separate cuffs and a tie belt with loops, and handling an asymmetric hem.
Fabric Recommendations
Choose fabrics with good drape and body to highlight the silhouette and asymmetric hem:
- Suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers
- Dense knitwear with low stretch
Additional Supplies

Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance – 2 cm, other seams – 1 cm. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). Attention! Markings are made on the right side of the patterns.
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece
- Front - 1 piece
- Cuff - 2 pieces
- Belt loop – 1 piece
- Belt – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Stitch the right shoulder seam, press the allowance towards the back and overlock.
- Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right sides out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge on the right side, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch and overlock the left shoulder seam. Press the allowance towards the back.
- Stitch the left side seam simultaneously with the sleeve seam, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Overlock the right side seams separately. Stitch the side seam simultaneously with the sleeve seam up to the slit mark. Press the allowances open. Topstitch along the slit 0.5 cm from the edge.
- Stitch the cuff into a loop. Press the allowance open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise and press. Place the cuff with the wrong side of the blouson and stitch. Overlock the seam. Turn the cuff to the right side. Secure the cuff at the shoulder seam.
- Overlock one long edge of the belt loop. Fold the belt loop into three layers and topstitch along the long sides. Cut the belt loop into 2 pieces. Topstitch the belt loops at the waist according to the markings.
- Fold the belt in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch, leaving an opening on the long side for turning. Turn the belt right side out, straighten and press.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press it to the wrong side and topstitch.
