Pattern #2188
Tech. Description

Gathered Peplum Blouse

Introducing a versatile women's blouse pattern featuring a beautifully gathered bodice, a tucked waist detail, and a graceful peplum hem.

When To Wear

This elegant blouse is perfect for a variety of occasions, offering both comfort and sophisticated style:

  • Everyday Chic: Pair with trousers or skirts for a polished daily look.
  • Business Casual: Suitable for office environments where a refined yet comfortable ensemble is desired.
  • Special Occasions: Dress it up with accessories for semi-formal gatherings or events.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a flattering a-line peplum silhouette, fitted through the upper body and gently flaring from the waist.

Neckline: a classic, elegant round neckline finished with a clean facing.

Closure: Features a discreet concealed zipper positioned at the center back seam for a seamless finish.

Sleeves: Long, straight set-in sleeves concluding with wide cuffs adorned with stylish decorative ties.

Waist: The bodice gathers softly into a structured waistband that is detailed with horizontal tucks or pleats, from which a gathered peplum gracefully extends.

Back: Mirrors the front's sophisticated waist treatment, incorporating gathers, tucks, and a peplum, all centered by a seam with a concealed zipper.

Length: Designed to fall gracefully around hip level, offering versatility for pairing with various bottoms.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. This pattern requires skills in gathering, creating tucks or pleats, setting in sleeves, and installing a concealed zipper.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose dress fabrics with a good drape to enhance the gathers and peplum effect:
