Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interlining, 11 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve bottom – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece with fold
    • Front - 2 pieces
    • Sleeve - 2 pieces
    • Sleeve tab - 2 pieces
    • Collar stand - 2 pieces
  • From fusible interlining:
    • Collar stand - 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface the outer collar stand and the integrated front plackets with fusible interlining.
  2. Fold and stitch the darts on the front from the shoulder seam to the mark (depths directed outwards and away from the center).
  3. Overlock the edge of the integrated front placket. Press the placket to the wrong side and topstitch along the marked line.
  4. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Place the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked line of the attaching seam. Clip allowances at curves. Turn the finished collar stand right side out and press.
  6. Stitch the outer part of the collar stand to the neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand. Turn under the open edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attaching seam.
  7. Fold the tabs in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and short edges. Turn right side out, trimming allowances at corners, straighten and press. Overlock the open short edge. Topstitch the tabs onto the wrong side of the sleeves according to the markings.
  8. Stitch the sleeve seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  9. Turn under the bottom of the garment and sleeves twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
  10. On the right placket and collar stand, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons. Make buttonholes on the tabs. Sew buttons on the sleeves.
