Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: well-draping blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: bias binding, approximate length indicated on the front pattern piece. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance - 1.5 cm. Back neckline allowance - 0 cm, front neckline allowance from shoulder seam to mark - 0 cm. Armhole allowances - 0 cm. Other seams - 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

CUTTER'S MUST

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front - 1 piece on fold
    • Placket – 4 pieces
  • Additional patterns:
    • Neckline shaping pattern – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Along the front neckline between the marks, stitch with a loosened top thread and gather, referring to the shaping pattern.
  2. Stitch shoulder seams. Finish allowances and press towards the back. Bind the neckline edge with bias binding up to the outermost mark, securing the gathering.
  3. Fold plackets in pairs right sides together and stitch along the outer edge. Clip allowance at the corner and turn right side out. Press plackets. Stitch plackets along the vertical edge.
  4. Place the front piece right side up on the finished placket, aligning the center line, and stitch the upper corner and neckline opening. Clip allowances at the mark. Turn the placket to the right side and press. Topstitch the placket to the front in the placket stitching seam. Secure the loose parts of the placket from the wrong side with hidden stitches in two or three places.
  5. Bind armhole edges with bias binding.
  6. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
  7. Finish the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
