The dress consists of a sundress and a tunic.
Fabric & Materials
Fabric recommendations: Knit fabric with medium or low stretch, good drape, made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: Knit tape (or bias binding) 4 cm wide for binding (tape length is indicated on the pattern piece), 2 small buttons.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Sundress: seam allowance for the upper neckline of the back and front, and armhole edge of the front – 0 cm, for the hemline — 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. Tunic: for the center back seam - 2 cm, for the neckline of the back and front — 1.5 cm, for the hemline — 1.5 cm, other seams — 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

- Back – 1 piece
- Front – 1 piece
- Tunic pieces:
- Lower back – 1 piece
- Upper back – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece on fold
Sewing Instructions
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
- Sundress:
- Bind the neckline with bias binding. Stitch the right side seam. Serge the seam and press towards the back.
- Bind the armhole edge and the upper back edge with bias binding, leaving free ends for the strap.
- Stitch the left side seam. Serge the seam and press towards the back.
- Serge, fold, and topstitch the sundress hem.
- Attach the straps at the back.
- Tunic:
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the upper back and front. Serge the seam and press towards the back.
- Serge, fold, and topstitch the neckline edge.
- Stitch the center seam of the upper back. Serge the seam, press open, and topstitch. Gather the fabric.
- Attach the upper back to the lower back. Serge the seam and press downwards.
- On the side seam of the front, clip the seam allowance near the notch. Stitch the side seams of the back and front from the notch to the hem. Serge the seams and press towards the back.
- Serge, fold, and topstitch the armhole edge.
- Serge, fold, and topstitch the tunic hem.
- Sew buttons on the wrong side of the shoulder seam near the neckline. Make chain loops on the sundress straps at the shoulder.
