Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: HEAVY SATIN. Also needed: 20 CM ZIPPER; FUSIBLE INTERFACING; LINING FABRIC.

CUTTER'S MUST

If the patterns have a double contour, they include SEAM ALLOWANCES. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Seam allowance for the center back seam (FOR ZIPPER INSERTION), for the bottom edge - 2 cm. Other seams - 1 cm. ATTENTION! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width should be at least 140 cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From SATIN:
    • All SKIRT pieces
    • All FACING pieces
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    • All FACING pieces
  • From LINING:
    • All LINING pieces

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the NOTCHES - they must match! Try to observe the GRAIN LINE direction.

  1. Zipper in the center back seam.
  2. The bottom of the skirt is hemmed by hand (2cm).
  3. The facing, reinforced with fusible interfacing, is stitched onto the skirt lining, and then the top edge of the skirt is finished.
  4. The skirt gusset is inserted into the clean edge between the main fabric and the lining fabric along the center back seam.
