CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- 3. FRONT YOKE – 1 QTY
- 4. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
- 5. COLLAR – 1 QTY
- 6. CUFF – 2 QTY
ATTENTION! Before starting, check that the head can pass through the COLLAR sewn into a ring.
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also sew pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
- Along the upper edge of the FRONT PANEL, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Attach the FRONT YOKE to the FRONT PANEL. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press upwards.
- Stitch the shoulder and side SEAM ALLOWANCES, overlock and press towards the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the COLLAR into a ring. Fold in half lengthwise and attach into the neckline, placing the COLLAR seam at the left shoulder seam.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seam. Along the bottom of the SLEEVE, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Stitch the CUFF into a ring. Fold in half lengthwise and attach to the SLEEVE. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press upwards. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
