CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- 3. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
- 4. FLOUNCE – 1 QTY
- 5. COLLAR – 1 QTY
Tip: When sewing knit fabrics, use a special elastic stitch or a narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance should be topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. Alternatively, you can sew the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
- Overlock the bottom and slanted edges of the flounce. Press the overlocked edges to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Stitch along the neckline edge of the BACK PANEL and flounce with loosely tensioned stitches and gather, centering the gathers on the neckline. The neckline length is indicated on the pattern.
- Attach the FRONT PANEL to the flounce along the shoulder edges, armhole edge, neckline, and left side. Note: The right shoulder edge of the flounce does not reach the right armhole edge of the FRONT PANEL by 1 cm. The left side edge of the flounce does not reach the bottom edge of the FRONT PANEL by 1.5 cm.
- Stitch the shoulder and side edges, overlock, and press towards the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the COLLAR into a loop. Overlock the seam and press. Fold the COLLAR in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Using an iron, stretch the raw edge of the COLLAR to the neckline length, giving the COLLAR a semicircular shape. Attach the COLLAR to the neckline, positioning the COLLAR seam at the left shoulder seam. Overlock the seam and press.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seam, overlock, and press. Overlock the bottom edge of the SLEEVE, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes. Overlock the seam and press.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch. Topstitch from the left side seam on the FRONT PANEL side.
