CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- 2. Upper FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
- 3. Lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
- 4. Yoke - 2 QTY
- 5. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also sew pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread serger.
Sewing Instructions
- Serge the neckline edge of the upper FRONT PANEL. Fold the allowance to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Serge the upper straight edge (2.5 cm wide section) of the lower FRONT PANEL and the corresponding edge of the upper FRONT PANEL (5 cm). Fold the allowance to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Place the curved edges of the left upper FRONT PANEL right sides together and stitch to the corresponding edge of the lower FRONT PANEL. Serge the seam and press it open. Insert the right piece into the created loop and stitch in the same way.
- Fold the lower edge of the upper FRONT PANEL at the NOTCH near the side seam and secure the upper and lower FRONT PANELs together along the side edge.
- Attach the yokes to the upper FRONT PANEL. Please note: The seam lengths are different; the neckline on the yoke has not yet been finished.
- Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Press the seam. Stitch the shoulder seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Press the seams towards the BACK PANEL. Serge the neckline edge of the BACK PANEL and yoke. Fold the allowance to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Stitch the side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press them towards the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Serge the seams and press them.
- Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching the NOTCHES. Serge the seams and press them.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
