- From fusible interfacing:
- FACING – 1 QTY
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the upper FACING with fusible interfacing.
- Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long edge. Turn the strap right side out and press.
- Stitch the dart on the FRONT PANEL. Press the dart upwards.
- Cut the FLOUNCE in a spiral. Finish the outer edge of the FLOUNCE with BIAS BINDING. Measure the length of the FLOUNCE along the open edge. Its length is equal to the length of the center edge of the FRONT PANEL minus 1 cm.
- Place the FRONT PANEL pieces right sides together, insert the FLOUNCE between them from the neckline, stopping 1 cm before the lower edge, align the edges, and stitch the center edge. Serge the seam and press.
- Stitch the side seams. Serge the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL. Serge the armhole edge of the FRONT PANEL and the upper edge of the BACK PANEL. Press the edge to the wrong side. On the BACK PANEL, between the central NOTCHES, insert elastic under the edge, stretching it slightly. Topstitch the edge to the main piece. Attach the straps to the BACK PANEL. The strap fold is directed towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
- Fold the FACING pieces and stitch along the inner edge, simultaneously stitching the side edges of the FACING. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Turn the piece right side out and press. Press the lower edges inwards. According to the markings, attach the straps and the upper edge of the FRONT PANEL to the lower FACING. Topstitch the upper FACING to the lower FACING along the edge. Press the pieces.
- Stitch the side seams of the lower parts. Serge the seam and press towards the BACK PANEL. Stitch elastic thread along the markings. Attach the lower part to the upper part. Serge the seam and press upwards.
- Finish the hem of the garment with a rolled hem.
- On the FACING, make buttonholes and sew on buttons.
