CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- Pocket – 1 QTY
- Neckline TRIM STRIP – 1 QTY
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press them towards the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the neckline TRIM STRIP into a loop. Serge the seam and press. Slightly stretching, attach the TRIM STRIP to the neckline, aligning the NOTCHES. The TRIM STRIP seam is located at the left shoulder seam. The upper edge of the TRIM STRIP remains unfinished.
- Serge the pocket edges and fold under the vertical and bias edges of the pocket.
- Serge the bottom edge of the blouson. Align the bottom edge of the pocket with the bottom edge of the FRONT PANEL and secure. Fold under and topstitch the bottom edge of the blouson together with the pocket. Fold back the pocket and topstitch it according to the markings, creating an overlap. Sew on buttons.
- Serge the bottom edge of the SLEEVE, fold under and topstitch.
