Tech. Description

Collared V-Neck Blouse with Drawstring Waist

A women's pull-on shirt blouse with a deep V-neck finished by a topstitched facing, a shirt collar on a stand, two chest patch pockets with a box pleat and buttoned flap, roll-up sleeves held by button tabs, and a drawstring casing at the waist.

When To Wear

  • Everyday wear with jeans, trousers or shorts.
  • In spring and summer, with the sleeves rolled up and buttoned.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Loose, drawn in at the waist by a tie in a casing, with bust darts on the front pressed upwards.

Length: Below the hip, with a curved shirt-tail hem turned up twice and topstitched.

Collar: Shirt collar on a stand; upper collar and outer stand interfaced, collar topstitched.

Neckline: Deep V-neck with no opening below it. A one-piece interfaced placket is stitched around the V, turned to the wrong side and topstitched to the front along the markings, so its outline shows on the right side.

Pockets: Two chest patch pockets with a box pleat, closed by flaps topstitched 0.1 and 0.6 cm from the edge and fastened with one button each.

Sleeves: Long sleeves set into open armholes, the underarm and side seams stitched in one. A buttonholed tab sewn to the inside of the sleeve buttons onto the right side to hold the sleeve rolled up.

Waist: A 3.5 cm casing strip topstitched to the wrong side along the markings; the self-fabric tie comes out through two buttonholes on the front.

Back: One piece with no seams or darts.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. A faced V-neck placket, a collar on a stand, pleated patch pockets with flaps, sleeve tabs and an applied casing.
