- Mark the zipper placement on the bodice front. Fuse the zipper placement on the bodice front with a grainline stay. Cut the bodice front between the zipper markings, stopping 1 cm from the bottom mark. Make diagonal cuts at the end of the mark. Serge the long edges and press to the wrong side. Place the zipper under the cut edges so that the teeth are visible. Stitch the zipper, adjusting the bottom corner. Topstitch along the zipper 0.2 cm from the edge.
- Stitch and serge the upper sleeve seam. Press the seam towards the back sleeve. Set the sleeves into the armholes matching the notches. Serge the armhole seam. Stitch the side seams simultaneously with the lower sleeve seam. Serge the seams and press towards the back.
- Press up the sleeve hem allowance. Fold the sleeve hem allowance to the wrong side and press first 1 cm, then 2 cm. Topstitch the pressed allowance to the sleeve.
- Place the collar pieces right sides together and stitch around. Trim seam allowances at the corners and turn the collar right side out. Press the collar.
- Attach the undercollar to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the upper collar and topstitch into the undercollar attachment seam.
- Press up the bottom hem allowance first 1 cm, then 2 cm. Turn to the wrong side and topstitch.
