Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the SLEEVE edge. Overlock and press the seam.
- Mark the slit on the FRONT PANEL and cut it. Fold the FACING for the slit in half lengthwise and press. Stitch the folded FACING to the slit, with the fold of the FACING lying on the garment at a width of 0.75 cm. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES to a width of 0.5 cm. Turn the FACING to the wrong side, and topstitch the blouse along the slit.
- Overlock the SIDE PANEL edges of the blouse. Stitch the SIDE PANEL edges up to the NOTCH for the slit and press open. Topstitch along the slit.
- Set the SLEEVES into the armholes and overlock the setting seam.
- Overlock: the upper edge of the SLEEVE, the neckline edge of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Fold to the wrong side, press the overlocked edges, and topstitch.
- Fold the drawstring for the neckline lengthwise and stitch 0.5-0.7 cm from the edge of the drawstring. Turn the drawstring right side out and press. Tuck in the short sides of the ties and hand stitch. Thread the drawstring through the neckline and tighten. The pattern piece for the drawstring is given with SEAM ALLOWANCES.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the blouse and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side. Press and topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge.
