- BACK PANEL – QTY 2
- BACK FACING – QTY 2
- FRONT PANEL – QTY 1
- FRONT FACING – QTY 1
- SLEEVE – QTY 2
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front and back facings.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the front and back neckline facings with fusible interfacing.
- Mark and stitch the bust darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press the bust darts downwards. Mark and stitch the shoulder darts on the BACK PANEL. Press the shoulder darts towards the center back. Mark and stitch the waist darts. Press the waist darts towards the center back.
- Overlock the center back edge. Stitch the center back seam up to the zipper NOTCH. Insert the zipper.
- Overlock the shoulder and side edges. Stitch and press open the shoulder seams. Stitch the side seams up to the slit NOTCH and press open, then press the slits. Topstitch along the slits 0.5 cm from the edge of the slit.
- Stitch and overlock the SLEEVE seam. Press the SLEEVE seam. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes.
- Stitch and press open the shoulder edges of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL facings. Overlock the inner edge of the facings.
- Place the facings and the blouse right sides together and stitch the neckline edge of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Topstitch the neckline SEAM ALLOWANCE of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL to the FACING 0.2 cm from the stitching line, stopping 3 cm before the center seam. Attach the center SEAM ALLOWANCE of the FACING to the zipper SEAM ALLOWANCES. Press the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL neckline. Secure the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL neckline FACING to the blouse shoulder seams with a 1 cm tack at the shoulder seams.
- Overlock, fold under, and topstitch the bottom of the garment and the SLEEVES. Tip: if desired, you can embellish the FRONT PANEL neckline and the bottom of the SLEEVES with beads.
