Finishing: Side seams pressed open; inseams pressed towards the back; a second row of stitching along the crotch seam; 1 cm seam allowances.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the Front Facings and Back Facings.
  2. Mark and stitch the darts on the Back Halves. Press the darts towards the center back.
  3. Overlock the side edges. Stitch the side seams of the trousers, leaving an opening in the left side seam for the zipper. Press side seams open and press the zipper opening. Insert the zipper.
  4. Stitch and overlock the inseams. Press the inseams towards the Back Half.
  5. Overlock the center front and center back edges. Stitch the crotch seam (center front and center back). Stitch a second line of stitching along the seat seam, next to the first one.
  6. Fold the Belt-Loop strip lengthwise in half, right sides together, align the edges, and stitch at a distance of 0.5-0.7 cm from the edges. Turn it right side out and press, placing the seam on the fold or rolling it 0.1–0.2 cm to the inside. Cut the strip into individual belt loops.
  7. Stitch the right side seam of the Front and Back Facings. Press the seams open. Mark the belt loop positions on the trousers and stitch the loops to the lower edge of the facings.
  8. Attach the fused facings to the upper edge of the trousers and press the attachment seam towards the facings. Insert the invisible zipper.
  9. Overlock the outer edge of the facings and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch the facing seam onto the fused facings at a distance of 0.2 cm from the facing seam. Turn out the facing. Fold under the left side edge of the facings and attach to the zipper. Press the upper edge of the trousers and topstitch the facings into the attachment seam of the upper facings.
  10. Topstitch the loops to the upper edge of the facings.
  11. Overlock the hem of the trousers, fold, press, and topstitch.
