Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the right and left front FACINGS, back FACING, fly shield, and pocket opening SEAM ALLOWANCE.
  2. Mark and stitch darts on the front panels. Press dart depth downwards.
  3. Overlock the relief seam allowance of the right and left front panels. Stitch the relief seam of the right and left front panels up to the NOTCH. Press open the relief seam on the front panel and press the lower slits for the ZIPPER. Topstitch along the relief seam up to the NOTCH. Insert the ZIPPER so that the teeth are visible.
  4. Finish the upper edge of the pocket on the front pant panel with pocket LINING and topstitch. Fold the side part of the front panel with the pocket LINING, stitch and overlock the edges. Secure the side part to the front pant panel at the upper edge with a 3 cm bar tack.
  5. Overlock and stitch the side seam of the pants. Press open the side seam.
  6. Fold the flap pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Turn the flap right side out through the upper open edge. Straighten the seams and topstitch a double seam 0.5 cm from the flap edge. The processing of the lower flap is similar. Mark the pocket placement on the pants. Overlock the side edge of the patch pocket FACING. Attach the patch pocket FACING to the side and lower edges of the pocket and overlock. Turn under and topstitch the upper edge of the pocket. On the pocket FACING, create a pleat and secure it to the pocket with a vertical bar tack 1-1.5 cm. Place the pocket on the marking and topstitch it. Place the flap on the marking and topstitch it. Turn the flap to the right side and topstitch 0.5 cm from the stitching seam. The processing of the lower pocket is similar.
  7. Overlock: the front and center edges of the pant panels and the lower edge of the pants. Stitch and overlock the inseams. Press the inseams towards the back pant panel. Stitch the front edge and center edge up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Stitch a second seam along the seat seam next to the stitching of the front and center seam.
  8. Fold the fly shield in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short lower edge. Turn the fly shield right side out. Overlock the inner edge of the fly shield and press it into its finished shape. Press the one-piece ZIPPER FACINGS to the wrong side. Attach the ZIPPER under the edge of the ZIPPER allowance (left side) to the edge, simultaneously with the fly shield. Attach the free ZIPPER tape to the right panel to the one-piece FACING. Topstitch along the right side of the front pant panel, catching the FACING.
  9. Stitch the side edges of the front and back FACINGS, press seams open. Attach the FACINGS to the upper edge of the pants and press the attachment seam towards the FACINGS.
  10. Fold the tab in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch on two sides. Trim excess fabric at the corners of the tab. Turn the tab right side out, straightening the corners, and press. Mark the placement of the tab on the FACINGS. Tuck in the unfinished side edges of the tab and topstitch according to the marking on the FACINGS.
  11. Overlock the outer edge of the lower FACINGS. Fold the FACINGS right sides together with the attached FACINGS and stitch the upper edge. Topstitch the FACING allowance to the lower FACINGS 0.2 cm from the seam, stopping 3 cm from each end. Stitch the ends of the FACINGS, trim excess fabric, and turn out the corners. Topstitch the lower FACINGS into the attachment seam of the upper FACINGS and press.
  12. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side and topstitch. Overlock a buttonhole on the right side of the FACING, and sew a button on the left side. Punch the upper parts of the snaps on the flap, and the lower parts on the pockets, according to the marking.
