Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the waistband, fly facing, patch pocket flap, and pocket opening allowance with fusible interfacing.
  2. Overlock the raw edges of the front patch pocket: the long side edge, the pocket opening edge, and the bottom edge. Press the overlocked seam allowances according to the pattern. Topstitch the pocket opening allowance 0.5 cm from the edge.
  3. Mark the position of the front pocket on the front pant half and topstitch the side and bottom edges of the pocket 0.2 cm from the outer edge of the pocket, leaving the pocket opening free.
  4. Place the flap pieces right sides together and stitch around. Trim the seam allowances at the corners of the flaps and turn right side out. Topstitch along the outer contour of the flaps 0.5 cm from the edge and overlock the upper edge of the flap.
  5. Attach the yoke to the back pant half, overlock the seam and press towards the yoke. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  6. Stitch and overlock the side seam of the pants. Press the side seam towards the back pant half.
  7. Overlock the patch pocket along its outer contour and press the seam allowances according to the pattern. Topstitch the upper allowance of the pocket. Mark the position of the pocket on the front and back pant halves and topstitch the pocket 0.2 cm from the pocket edge, leaving the pocket opening free. Place the flap to the mark and topstitch it. Turn the flap to the right side and topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  8. Overlock: the front and center edges of the pant halves and the bottom edge of the pants. Stitch and overlock the inseams. Press the inseams towards the back pant half. Stitch the front edge and center edge up to the notch for the zipper. Stitch a second line along the seat seam next to the stitching line of the front and center seam.
  9. Press the integrated zipper facings to the wrong side. Attach the zipper under the edge of the zipper allowance (left side) to the edge. Attach the free zipper tape to the right half to the integrated facing. Fold the fly facing in half lengthwise and stitch, including the short bottom edge. Topstitch the integrated zipper facing onto the fly facing on the left pant half. Topstitch the right edge of the opening, catching the facing.
  10. Fold the belt loop lengthwise in half, right sides together, align the edges, and stitch 0.5-0.7 cm from the edges. Then turn right side out, straighten the seam, positioning it on the fold, or create a 0.1-0.2 cm wide piping on the inside and press.
  11. Press the waistband in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and overlock the lower inner edge of the waistband. Cut the belt loops to size and topstitch the belt loops onto the waistband according to the markings.
  12. Attach the waistband to the upper edge of the pants. Stitch around the ends of the waistband, trim the seam allowances at the corners and turn right side out. Topstitch the lower overlocked edge of the waistband into the attachment seam and press the waistband into its finished shape.
  13. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.
  14. Make the buttonhole on the right side of the waistband, and sew the button on the left side. Mark and make the buttonholes on the flap, and sew the buttons on the patch pocket according to the markings.
