Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the facing and collar stand with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch darts on the front and back.
- Topstitch the yoke to the front, creating a decorative stitch.
- Topstitch the front insert to the front, creating a decorative stitch.
- Topstitch the front insert to the lower of the front, creating a decorative stitch.
- Topstitch the yoke to the back, creating a decorative stitch.
- Topstitch the back insert to the back, creating a decorative stitch.
- Topstitch the back insert to the lower of the back, creating a decorative stitch.
- Stitch shoulder seams.
- Stitch side seams.
- Face the lower collar stand with the upper collar stand.
- Set the collar stand into the neckline. Topstitch the upper collar stand into the seam of the lower collar stand attachment.
- Attach the cuff to the lower edge of the sleeve.
- Stitch the seams on the sleeves.
- Prepare a loop from cord.
- Attach the loop to the right front.
- Face the edges with facings.
- Set in the sleeves, easing at the cap.
- Sew buttons to the left front. If desired, decorative stitches can be added along the princess seams, edge of the front opening, and darts.
