Cutter's Must
- From main fabric:
- 1. Back - 1 piece on fold
- 2. Chest pocket - 1 piece
- 3. Lower pocket - 2 pieces
- 4. Collar – 2 pieces
- 5. Back neckline facing - 1 piece on fold
- 6. Front, cut-on with front facing - 2 pieces
- 7. Sleeve - 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- 4. Collar – 2 pieces
- 5. Back neckline facing - 1 piece on fold
- Front facing – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the collar, facing, and front facing pieces.
- Fold the top seam allowance of the pockets to the right side and stitch to the side edges. Fold the seam allowance to the wrong side, also fold the seam allowances of the remaining pocket edges to the wrong side. Topstitch the pockets along the upper edge, pin to the front, and stitch at 0.1 cm.
- Stitch the side, shoulder, and sleeve seams. Press seam allowances open.
- Stitch the shoulder seams on the facing and front facings. Press seams open.
- Place collars right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Turn the collar to the right side, baste, and press.
- Fold the front facings to the right side along the center front line, align the facing with the neckline, insert the collar between them, and stitch the front edges and back neckline. Trim the seam, turn the front facings and facing to the wrong side, baste, and press.
- Set the sleeves into the armholes.
- Fold the hem of the garment and sleeves to the wrong side, turn under, and topstitch.
- On the right front, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
