When To Wear

• As a sleep or lounge top, with shorts or pyjama trousers.
• In summer with high-waisted skirts or trousers.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Close fitting, straight body joined by side seams.

Length: Cropped.

Neckline: Sweetheart shape at the front; straight across at the back.

Straps: Wide straps with turned and topstitched long edges; small pleats are laid at each short end before the straps are basted to the upper edge of the front and back.

Front: One piece cut on the fold, no darts.

Back: One piece cut on the fold.

Finishing: The upper edge is finished with front and back facings, turned to the inside and topstitched; the hem is turned up and topstitched.

Level Of Difficulty

Beginner. Five pieces, side seams, a facing and a topstitched hem; the only detail work is pleating the strap ends.
