Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the cups, BACK PANEL FACING, and cup FACINGS with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL, FRONT PANEL, and cups.
- Attach the cups to the FRONT PANEL.
- Stitch the right SIDE PANEL seam.
- Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL, FRONT PANEL, and cups on the organza pieces. Attach the cups to the FRONT PANEL. Stitch the right SIDE PANEL seam. Fold the organza LINING with the dress wrong sides together and baste along the edges. Then, the garment is treated as a single layer.
- Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the closure to the wrong side. Place the ZIPPER under the edges of the opening and stitch so that the teeth are not visible.
- Stitch the right SIDE PANEL seam on the FACINGS. Fold the FACING with the dress right sides together and stitch the upper edges. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES to 2-3 mm from the stitching. Turn the FACING to the wrong side, baste, and press. Fold the short sides and sew to the ZIPPER tape. Secure the FACING above the SIDE PANEL seam and above the center lines.
- Stitch the SIDE PANEL seams on the skirt and on the FLOUNCES. Gather the middle and LOWER FLOUNCES along the upper edges and attach to the skirt according to the markings, aligning the SIDE PANEL seams. Gather the upper FLOUNCE along the upper edge and baste to the upper edge of the skirt. Attach the skirt to the BODICE of the dress.
- Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the hem of the FLOUNCES and skirt, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long side. Turn right side out, baste, and press. Cut the strap in half and sew the front ends under the corners of the cups. Try on the dress, adjust the length of the straps, and sew their back ends under the upper edge of the BACK PANEL.
