Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on the FRONT PANEL and side seams on the BODICE pieces from the main and LINING fabrics.
- Fold the LINING with the BODICE right sides together and stitch along the neckline and armhole edges, starting and ending the stitch exactly at the shoulder seam lines. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitching, turn the garment right side out. Stitch shoulder seams on the BODICE from the main fabric. Turn under the shoulder edges on the LINING flush and secure.
- Lay the chiffon skirt pieces wrong side onto the right side of the SATIN skirt, baste along the edges and process further as a single layer. On the FRONT SKIRT HALF and BACK SKIRT HALF from the main and LINING fabric, stitch the side seams and center seams, leaving an unstitched section at the top for the fastener. Gather the skirts along the upper edge to the length of the lower edge of the BODICE and attach accordingly. Press the waist seam allowance towards the BODICE.
- Press the edges of the opening for the ZIPPER. Place the ZIPPER under the opening so that the teeth are not visible and stitch, folding the TRIM STRIP over from the top.
- Finish the bottom of the garment and LINING with a hemmed seam, 1 cm wide, so that the LINING is 2 cm shorter than the dress.
- Sew the decorative TRIM STRIP along the neckline edge, along the waist seam, along the bottom of the dress. Attach decorative flowers to the shoulder seams.
