Sewing Instructions

  1. Sew the front and back princess seams and shoulder seams. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the princess seams towards the center parts.
  2. Stitch TRIM STRIP to the center FRONT PANELS and the center BACK PANEL at a distance of 0.5 cm from the princess seams.
  3. Cut the SLEEVES along the markings. Finish the slit with BIAS BINDING, the width of the binding should be 0.5 cm. At the top of the slit (on the wrong side of the SLEEVE), stitch the binding diagonally.
  4. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes. Sew the side seams and SLEEVE seams in one continuous stitch.
  5. Press the integrated FACING of the placket for the hidden closure on the right FRONT PANEL to the wrong side, then press the FACING and the closure placket to the wrong side. Stitch the FACING along the markings.
  6. Stitch TRIM STRIP to the right FRONT PANEL at a distance of 0.5 cm from the front edge. Turn the closure placket to the front edge and press.
  7. Press the integrated FACING of the left FRONT PANEL to the wrong side and fold it in half. Topstitch the inner side of the FACING close to the edge. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.
  8. From fabric scraps, cut a BIAS BINDING strip for 5 small loops and neatly turn it into a narrow rouleau. Cut the rouleau into 5 equal parts.
  9. Stitch TRIM STRIP to the outer COLLAR piece, 0.5 cm from the outer edge. Fold one rouleau into a loop and baste it to the right edge of the outer COLLAR piece, directing the loop towards the COLLAR.
  10. Neatly turn the COLLAR pieces along the outer edges. Set the outer COLLAR piece into the neckline. Fold the inner piece and pin it to the attachment seam. From the right side, stitch the COLLAR along the attachment seam.
  11. At the lower edge of the SLEEVES, create pleats, overlapping x on o, and baste them.
  12. Stitch TRIM STRIP to the outer CUFF pieces at a distance of 0.5 cm from the markings along the rounded short and outer long sides. Baste 2 small loops to the rounded short sides, directing them towards the CUFFS.
  13. Neatly turn the 2 CUFF pieces along the outer edges. Stitch the outer CUFF piece from the right side to the lower edge of the SLEEVE, catching the BIAS BINDING of the front edge of the slit that was turned to the wrong side. Fold the inner CUFF piece and stitch it to the attachment seam.
  14. On the hidden closure placket, make longitudinal buttonholes along the markings. Sew flat buttons to the left FRONT PANEL so that the buttons fasten at the top of the buttonholes. Sew buttons under the loops on the COLLAR and CUFFS.
