Sewing Instructions
- Sew the princess seams of the BACK PANEL and the back parts of the SLEEVES. From the right side of the seams, topstitch along the BACK PANEL.
- Neatly stitch the pocket openings of the FRONT PANEL pieces with the POCKET BAGS, first clipping the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the FRONT PANELS diagonally at the corners. Fold two FLAP pieces and neatly stitch. Turn the FLAP upwards and baste it to the lower edge of the SIDE FRONT PANEL. Stitch the POCKET BAG and FLAP and press downwards, and press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the attachment seam upwards. Stitch the FRONT PANEL piece to the SIDE PANEL, without breaking the stitching, sew the POCKET BAGS. From the right side of the seams, topstitch along the FRONT PANEL. Baste the side edges of the POCKET BAGS to the FRONT PANELS.
- Sew the shoulder seams and the upper SLEEVE seams.
- Attach the lower COLLAR to the neckline of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Sew the shoulder seams of the FRONT FACINGS and the BACK NECK FACING. Attach the upper COLLAR to the neckline of the FRONT FACINGS and the FACING.
- Fold the FRONT FACINGS with the FRONT PANELS right sides together and pin to the edges of the fronts, pin the edges of the upper and lower COLLAR. Neatly stitch the blouse along the fronts and COLLAR. Sew the pressed SEAM ALLOWANCES of the lower COLLAR attachment seams and the BACK NECK FACING from the inside.
- Sew the side seams and the lower SLEEVE seams.
- Create pleats along the lower edges of the SLEEVES. Attach the CUFFS to the lower edges of the SLEEVES. Turn the CUFFS half their width to the right side and stitch the ends. Turn the CUFFS out, fold under the raw edges and stitch onto the attachment seams. Topstitch the CUFFS close to the edge.
- Attach shoulder pads.
- Hem the bottom of the blouse.
- On the right FRONT PANEL and on the CUFFS, overcast buttonholes.
