  • Fusible interfacing (waistband and facings)

Cutter's Must

  • From main fabric:
  • Back Skirt - 2 pieces
  • Front Skirt - 2 pieces
  • Waistband - 1 piece
  • Facing - 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing: fuse the waistband and the facing pieces.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Sew the darts on the front skirt and back skirt and press them towards the center.
  2. Sew the center back seam between the zipper mark and the slit mark. Insert the zipper.
  3. Press the slit allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
  4. Stitch the facing to the front edge of the front skirt, press the seam allowances open, turn out and overlock the open edge of the facing. Topstitch 2.0 cm from the edge.
  5. Sew the side seams of the skirt.
  6. Pin the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt right sides together and stitch. Press the seam allowances towards the waistband. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the ends. Turn the waistband out, turn under the inner edge and pin it so that it extends about 2 mm beyond the waistband seam. From the right side, stitch in the ditch of the waistband seam. Make a buttonhole on the left side of the waistband and sew a button on the right side.
  7. Turn up the hem allowance and topstitch. Sew on the decorative buttons.
