Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Front - 1 piece on fold
- Neckline facing front – 1 piece
- Neckline facing back – 1 piece
- Upper sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Lower sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Collar – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Neckline facing front – 1 piece
- Neckline facing back – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interfacing to the relevant pieces.
- Stitch darts on the front. Press dart allowances upwards. Stitch darts on the back. Press dart allowances towards the center.
- Cut a strip from the main fabric 4 cm wide and 50 cm long. Fold in half lengthwise and press. Fold long edges inwards and press. Stitch 0.2 cm from the edge. Cut into two pieces.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings. Press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge.
- Fold the collar lengthwise right sides together and stitch the corners. Trim allowances, turn right side out and press. Attach the collar to the neckline, creating arbitrary pleats.
- Place the facing on the blouse right sides together and stitch the neckline and neckline opening, inserting the ties. Trim allowances, clip curves, turn the facing to the wrong side. Secure the facing to the shoulder seams.
- Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts. Overcast allowance and press upwards. Stitch sleeve seams, press towards the back and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
- Overcast the bottom of the garment and sleeves, fold inwards and topstitch.
