Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on the back. Press dart allowances towards the center.
  3. Clip the seam allowance at the side seam mark of the lower front part. Overlock the seam allowance from the mark to the bottom. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch. Along the upper edge of the lower front part, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Place the lower facing on the front, right sides together, and stitch the lower edge. Turn the facing to the wrong side. Attach the lower front part to the upper edge of the facing. Overlock the seam allowance. Topstitch from the right side, securing the facing and the lower part.
  4. Stitch the front princess seam up to the lower mark. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the side seam. Topstitch the seam allowance onto the free-floating part of the front 0.5 cm from the edge.
  5. Fold the plackets lengthwise in half, right side out. Attach the outer edge of the placket to the front. Press the seam towards the placket. Fold the inner edge of the placket inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  6. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  7. Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Place the outer and inner facings right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked attachment seam line. Clip allowances at curves. Turn the finished facing right side out and press.
  8. Attach the outer facing to the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the inner facing and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  9. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  10. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  11. On the right front, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
