Raglan Sleeve Ruffled Neckline Dress with Tie

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: Dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; 6 cm of bias tape; decorative ribbon; lining fabric.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment - 2 cm; sleeve hem - 2 cm; collar side allowances 2 cm; other seams - 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece on fold
  • Front - 1 piece on fold
  • Welt - 2 pieces
  • Back sleeve part - 2 pieces
  • Front sleeve part - 2 pieces
  • Collar - 1 piece
  • Underlap - 2 pieces
• From lining fabric:
  • Large pocket bag - 2 pieces
  • Small pocket bag - 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Welt - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Fuse the welts with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch the darts on the front. Press the dart depths upwards.
3. Mark the pocket placement. Press the welt in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Stitch the small pocket bag to the inner side of the welt. Attach the welt to the front along the lower pocket marking line. Attach the large pocket bag to the front along the upper pocket marking line. The ends of the stitches should finish at the short marking lines. Cut the pocket opening. At a distance of 1-1.5 cm from the end of the pocket, make diagonal cuts. Turn the welt and large pocket bag to the wrong side through the opening. Secure the ends of the pocket from the wrong side with a double backstitch at the base of the corners. Stitch the pocket bag edges. Overlock the allowances.
4. Attach the sleeves to the front. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the sleeve.
5. Attach the sleeves to the back. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the sleeve.
6. Stitch the upper sleeve edge. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the back sleeve part.
7. Stitch the side edges. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the back.
8. Bind the 3 cm section of the front neckline, indicated by markings, with bias tape. Fold the collar side edges inwards by 1 cm, then by another 1 cm, and topstitch. Stitch the outer side of the collar into the neckline, directing the allowance towards the collar. Fold the allowance of the inner side inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer side attachment.
9. Overlock the bottom of the garment and sleeves, fold inwards, and topstitch.
10. Thread decorative ribbon through the collar.
