Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing, 7 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part – 2 pieces with a fold
    • Central back part – 1 piece with a fold
    • Side back part – 2 pieces
    • Upper front part – 4 pieces
    • Central front part – 2 pieces
    • Side front part – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface the one-piece facing with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Attach the upper back part to the lower part, press allowances upwards and overcast.
  3. Overcast the outer edge of the facing. Fold the facing to the right side along the center front line and stitch the upper edge up to the mark. Clip allowances at the mark, turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
  4. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, clip allowances at the marks, press upwards and overcast.
  5. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances open.
  6. Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the inner upper back and front parts, press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place the inner pieces with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge of the back and front and the ties. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Topstitch the inner part into the seam of attaching the outer part. Secure the outer and inner parts along the armhole edge.
  7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overcast. Set in the sleeves into the armholes, press allowances and overcast.
  8. Overcast the hem allowance of the dress and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. On the right front, overcast buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
