Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Upper back – 2 pieces with a fold
- Central back – 1 piece with a fold
- Side back – 2 pieces
- Upper front – 4 pieces
- Central front – 2 pieces
- Side front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Interface the one-piece facing with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overlock. Attach the upper back to the lower, press allowances upwards and overlock.
- Overlock the outer edge of the facing. Fold the facing to the right side along the center front line and stitch the upper edge up to the mark. Clip allowances at the mark, turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
- Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overlock. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, clip allowances at the marks, press upwards and overlock.
- Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances open.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the inner upper back and front parts, press allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the inner pieces with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge of the back and front and the ties. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Topstitch the inner into the seam of attaching the outer. Secure the outer and inner parts along the armhole edge.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Set in the sleeves into the armholes, press allowances and overlock.
- Overlock the hem allowance of the dress and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- On the right front, overlock buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
