FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: medium-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers in contrasting or analogous colors. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: knit fusible interfacing.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! MARKINGS ON THE PATTERNS ARE MADE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!

- Upper back part – 1 piece
- Upper front part – 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From main fabric 1:
- Lower back part left – 1 piece
- Lower back part right – 1 piece
- Lower front part – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. Tip: as main fabric_1 you can use not knit fabric, but suiting fabric. In this case, for ease of use, you should process a zipper in the left side seam.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the relevant pieces.
- Stitch darts on the lower back pieces and upper front piece. Press waist dart depths towards the center, bust darts – upwards.
- Stitch the center seam of the lower back, press allowances to the left side and serge. Stitch the upper and lower back pieces, press allowances upwards and serge.
- Form and secure pleats on the lower front piece according to markings. Stitch the upper and lower front pieces, press allowances upwards and serge.
- Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Set sleeves into open armholes, press allowances, serge. Stitch the sleeve seam simultaneously with the side seam, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, serge the outer edge. Place the dress with the facing right sides together, aligning neckline edges, and stitch. Clip allowances at curves, turn facing to the wrong side and press. Attach facing to shoulder seams.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve hem, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
