Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to facing pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on back and front pieces, press waist dart depths towards the center of the pieces, bust darts - upwards.
  3. Overlock the center back seam separately on each piece. On the left center back piece, along the vertical edge of the vent, trim 5 cm. On both center back pieces, from the wrong side, fuse interfacing to the vent. On the right side, mark the center seam line (vent fold line). Press the left part along the vent fold line, on the right part, press only the allowance of the right side of the vent (6 cm) to the wrong side. Align the pieces along the center seam and secure at the top edge of the vent. Overlock the vent allowances. Stitch the center back seam from the mark to the corner of the vent. Clip the corner of the vent seam allowance on the right part. Press open the center seam allowances, press the vent allowances and secure them with machine stitching. Insert the zipper.
  4. Attach the large pocket bag to the lower front part, placing right sides together. Topstitch the allowance onto the pocket bag 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn the pocket bag to the wrong side and press the fold. Attach the small pocket bag to the upper front part. Overlock the allowance and topstitch onto the pocket bag. Lay the lower front part onto the upper part along the marked line, aligning the lower allowances of the pocket bags. Turn the lower part of the dress upwards, stitch and overlock the lower allowance of the pocket bags. Stitch a securing line along the upper edge of the lower front part, forming the pockets. (Lines are indicated on the lining pattern with wavy marks).
  5. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, press allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure the facing to the main garment at the shoulder seams and center back seam.
