Fabric recommendations: coat fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: lining; shoulder pads; sleeve heads; fusible interlining; 1 button.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem - 3.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to consider paired and symmetrical parts). WHEN STITCHING PARTS, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
• From lining fabric:
  • Back – 2 pieces
  • Front – 2 pieces
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
• From fusible interlining:
  • Front — 2 pieces
  • Front facing — 2 pieces
  • Collar – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing - 1 piece

Also, the armhole areas on the back and front, the bottom of the garment and sleeves are duplicated. ATTENTION! Lining pieces are cut deducting the width of the front facing, back neckline facing.

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances open.
3. Stitch the darts on the front pieces, press the dart excess upwards.
4. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press allowances open.
5. Stitch the shoulder seams of the front facings and back neckline facing, press allowances open.
6. Cut a loop 7 cm wide and 8 cm long. Fold it lengthwise along the long side and stitch. Press allowances open. Turn the loop right side out, centering the allowances. Fold in half and attach to the front neckline.
7. Fold the collar pieces right sides together and stitch the corner, upper edge, and "tail" up to the round mark. Trim the corners, turn the collar right side out and press. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the collar to the neckline. Clip the allowances at the mark. Attach the upper collar to the garment neckline.
8. Overlock and press the garment hem allowance to the wrong side. Place the front facing on the right side of the front piece, right side down. Pin the front facing and the garment together and stitch along the front edge and neckline. Stitch the lower edge of the front facing to the front piece strictly along the marked hemline, stopping 1.5 cm before the inner edge of the front facing. Turn the front edges right side out, smooth the seams.
9. Stitch and press open the sleeve seam. Along the upper edge of the sleeve cap, stitch with a small stitch length. Gather the ease and shrink the fullness. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching the notches. Insert shoulder pads and sleeve heads.
10. On the lining fabric pieces, stitch the darts and seams, set the sleeves, leaving a technological opening in the sleeve. Attach the lining to the inner edges of the front facings and the back neckline facing. Attach the lining to the bottom of the coat and sleeves. Turn right side out through the opening. Sew up the opening.
11. Make a buttonhole and sew on the button.
