Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to facing pieces.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the back. Overlock allowances and press towards the center. Attach the upper back part. Overlock allowances and press upwards. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock allowances and press to the left side.
  3. Stitch the front princess seams in two steps: from the upper edge to the beginning of the pocket and from the end of the pocket to the lower edge. Overlock allowances and press towards the center. Mark the pocket placement. Fold the frame pieces in half lengthwise, right sides out, and press. Attach the frames to the side and center front parts. Clip allowances at corners, turn frames to the wrong side, and press. Secure corners from the wrong side with a double stitch. Place the large pocket bag on the side part frame and stitch. Attach the small pocket bag to the center part frame. Turn pocket bags towards the center front and stitch together. Overlock pocket bag allowances.
  4. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Overlock allowances and press upwards.
  5. Cut a bias binding from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and equal to the length of the neckline opening. Press the binding in half lengthwise, right side out, align with the neckline edge, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold.
  6. Stitch shoulder and side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Overlock allowances and press towards the back. Overlock the U-shaped cutout on the sleeve. Stitch the upper sleeve seam section (along the buttons). Press allowances open. Arrange the box pleat on the sleeve. Overlock the lower sleeve edge. Fold allowance inwards and hem with blind stitches. Sew on buttons, securing the pleat.
  7. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings. Press allowances open. Fold facings right sides together and stitch the neckline opening. Clip allowances at curves, turn out, and press. Place the dress with the facing right sides together, aligning neckline edges, and stitch the dress with the outer facing. Direct allowances towards the facing and press. Fold under the allowances of the inner facing and topstitch into the seam of the outer facing attachment.
