Pattern #4688
Tech. Description

Sleeveless Wrap Front Sheath Dress with Shoulder Yokes

Introducing a sophisticated women's sewing pattern for a sleeveless sheath dress, featuring an elegant wrap-front bodice and distinctive shoulder yokes that integrate with its V-neckline.

When To Wear:

  • Professional Settings: Ideal for office wear, business meetings, or corporate events due to its polished and tailored appearance.
  • Smart Casual Gatherings: Perfect for daytime events, lunches, or cultural outings where a refined yet comfortable look is desired.
  • Semi-Formal Occasions: Can be dressed up for evening receptions or more formal daytime functions with appropriate accessories.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a flattering, close-fitting sheath silhouette that gently tapers towards the knee, defining the waist.

Neckline & Collar: Features a V-neck wrap front, complemented by wide, structured lapels that extend upwards and outward to form distinctive shoulder yokes.

Sleeves: Sleeveless design with clean, finished armholes, offering a sleek and professional look.

Closure: a concealed zipper fastening centered along the back seam for a smooth finish.

Waist: a clearly defined horizontal waist seam separates the bodice from the skirt, allowing for a tailored fit.

Back: The back features a two-piece construction with vertical darts in the bodice and skirt for shaping, finished with a classic vent at the hem for ease of movement.

Length: a sophisticated knee-length hem, suitable for a variety of occasions.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in fitting, constructing structured lapels and yokes, setting a concealed zipper, and creating a back vent.

Fabric Recommendations

  • Dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm; slit allowance – 6 cm; hem allowance – 2.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical parts). When stitching parts, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
